Most patients come to us after trying something else that didn't work. That's not a coincidence — generic, protocol-driven treatment that ignores what's actually driving your pain rarely produces lasting results.
Dr. Walia's approach is different. He assesses how your body is actually functioning — biomechanically and structurally — and builds your treatment around what he finds, not a template. His strong foundation in the basic sciences gives him a depth of diagnostic thinking that informs every decision.
The result: care that makes sense to you, produces results you can feel, and gives you the knowledge to stay well long after treatment ends.
Meet Dr. Walia →We identify why you're in pain — the structural and soft tissue factors that are driving it — so treatment addresses the actual problem, not just where it hurts.
Every technique is grounded in clinical evidence. We measure outcomes, track your progress visit by visit, and adjust the plan based on how your body responds.
You'll understand your diagnosis, your plan, and what to expect at every visit. No pressure, no mystery — just clear, honest, effective care from start to finish.
A Board Certified Neurologist (HeadacheAwayMD) practices in the same office — giving patients access to neurology co-management when appropriate without a referral runaround.
Dr. Amandeep Singh Walia is an NBCE Board Certified Doctor of Chiropractic, licensed in California and New York, with a clinical focus on headache relief, spinal rehabilitation, and postural correction.
He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from California State University, San Bernardino, and a Bachelor of Human Health Sciences (BHHS) from the American University of Antigua College of Medicine, where he completed the foundational medical basic sciences curriculum. He then pursued and completed his Doctor of Chiropractic degree at Palmer West College of Chiropractic in San Jose, CA.
Dr. Walia began his chiropractic career in New York in 2013, working as an associate and building a strong clinical foundation across multiple practice settings. By 2015, he established his own practices while continuing to collaborate with other physicians across additional locations — gaining broad clinical exposure treating a diverse patient population across musculoskeletal, spinal, and neurological conditions. In 2021, he expanded westward, opening Walia Chiropractic in San Jose, California during the COVID-19 pandemic, and continued operating across both coasts concurrently through 2024. Now fully rooted in the Bay Area, Dr. Walia brings over a decade of multi-practice, high-volume clinical experience to every patient he sees — focused on identifying and treating the structural cause of each condition rather than simply managing symptoms.
Dr. Walia practices at the same location as a Board Certified Neurologist through HeadacheAwayMD — giving patients access to neurological co-management when appropriate.
Outside the office, Dr. Walia is an active member of the Sikh community and regularly volunteers at the local Gurdwara. His commitment to seva — selfless service — reflects the same values he brings to patient care: compassion, humility, and genuine concern for the wellbeing of others.
Precise spinal and joint manipulation to restore proper alignment, reduce nerve irritation, and return full range of motion. Techniques include diversified adjustment, Graston, spinal decompression, and flexion-distraction — selected for your anatomy and condition.
Book a Session →Clinical massage coordinated directly with your chiropractic care plan. Deep tissue, myofascial release, and trigger point work to reduce tension, break up adhesions, and accelerate healing.
Book a Session →Core stability training, functional rehab, and corrective exercise to rebuild strength, restore mobility, and prevent re-injury — for post-accident recovery, sports injuries, and chronic dysfunction.
Book a Session →Sustained manual pressure applied to fascial restrictions to release tissue tension and restore movement patterns at their structural source.
Targeted compression of hyperirritable muscle knots causing local and referred pain. Restores normal muscle tone, circulation, and length.
Instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization to break down scar tissue and chronic fascial restrictions that manual therapy alone cannot reach.
Non-surgical traction therapy that gently lengthens the spine to relieve disc pressure, reduce nerve compression, and restore disc hydration.
Gentle rhythmic spinal stretching highly effective for disc herniations, sciatica, and stenosis without high-velocity manipulation.
Therapeutic electrical current to reduce acute pain, decrease muscle spasm, improve local circulation, and accelerate tissue healing.
Targeted protocols to strengthen deep stabilizing muscles of the spine and pelvis — the foundation for preventing re-injury long-term.
Structured in-office and take-home stretching programs to increase flexibility, reduce chronic tightness, and reinforce treatment gains.
Suction-based decompression therapy that lifts fascia and soft tissue, improving circulation, releasing muscle adhesions, and accelerating recovery — often combined with active movement.
High-frequency percussive treatment with targeted applicators to flush metabolic waste, reduce DOMS, break up trigger points, and prime muscles before or after treatment.
Controlled cold application to reduce acute inflammation, numb nerve endings, limit tissue swelling after adjustments or soft tissue work, and accelerate local healing.
Moist or dry heat applied to loosen chronically tight musculature, increase tissue extensibility, and prepare the body for deeper manual work — especially effective for chronic conditions.
Individualized exercise and ergonomic programs designed around your job, daily routine, and diagnosis — so your progress continues between visits and your environment stops working against you.
Joint mobilization and soft tissue manipulation applied with precise, graded force — restoring segmental mobility, reducing joint stiffness, and addressing pain without high-velocity thrusting when not appropriate.
Comprehensive postural analysis, spinal range-of-motion testing, orthopedic and neurological exam, and a detailed evaluation of your workstation and home setup — identifying every factor contributing to your condition.
Neck pain results from joint misalignment, muscle strain, disc dysfunction, or nerve irritation in the cervical spine. Causes include poor posture, tech neck, whiplash, and degenerative changes. Symptoms range from localized stiffness to radiating pain into the shoulders and arms.
Cervical adjustments restore proper joint mechanics and reduce nerve pressure. Myofascial release addresses surrounding muscle tension. Postural rehabilitation corrects the underlying patterns driving the dysfunction — producing lasting relief, not temporary masking.
Lower back pain involves the lumbar spine, sacroiliac joints, and surrounding musculature. Causes include disc herniations, joint restrictions, muscle imbalances, and postural dysfunction from prolonged sitting or repetitive strain.
Lumbar adjustments restore spinal mechanics and reduce joint irritation. Spinal decompression targets disc-related pain. Core stability training strengthens the muscles that support the spine. Electrical stimulation and myofascial release address the soft tissue component.
Sciatica is pain, numbness, or tingling radiating from the lower back through the buttock and down the leg — following the path of the sciatic nerve. Typically caused by a herniated disc, bone spur, or piriformis muscle compressing the nerve root.
Flexion-distraction therapy and spinal decompression gently relieve disc pressure on the sciatic nerve. Lumbar adjustments correct the mechanics contributing to nerve irritation. Trigger point work addresses piriformis involvement. Most patients experience meaningful relief within a structured care plan.
A herniated disc occurs when the soft inner material of an intervertebral disc pushes through its outer casing and presses on nearby nerve roots — causing localized pain, numbness, weakness, or radiating symptoms depending on the level and nerve involved.
Non-surgical spinal decompression creates negative intradiscal pressure, encouraging disc material to retract and reducing nerve compression. Flexion-distraction is particularly effective for lumbar herniations. Adjustments restore segmental motion and reduce mechanical stress on the affected disc level.
Tension headaches stem from cervical muscle tightness and joint restriction. Cervicogenic headaches originate directly from spinal dysfunction in the neck. Many migraine patients have significant musculoskeletal triggers that go unaddressed — keeping them in a cycle of recurring pain.
Upper cervical adjustments reduce joint restriction and nerve irritation. Myofascial release to the suboccipital muscles and upper trapezius addresses the muscle tension component. For complex cases, neurological co-management is available on-site through HeadacheAwayMD.
Whiplash is a soft tissue injury to the cervical spine from rapid acceleration-deceleration — most often a rear-end collision. Symptoms include neck pain, stiffness, headaches, shoulder pain, and cognitive fog. Left untreated, these injuries commonly develop into chronic dysfunction.
Early intervention prevents acute inflammation and joint restriction from becoming chronic. Gentle adjustments, myofascial release, and electrical stimulation address pain and restore mobility. We provide thorough clinical documentation for personal injury cases and coordinate with attorneys when needed.
Sports injuries range from acute trauma (sprains, strains, impact) to chronic overuse conditions (tendinopathy, IT band syndrome, rotator cuff strain). Athletes need care that addresses both the injury and the underlying biomechanical factors that made them vulnerable.
Graston to break down scar tissue, joint mobilization to restore range of motion, and targeted rehab to rebuild sport-specific strength — speeds recovery and reduces re-injury risk. The goal is to return stronger, not just return.
Forward head posture from sustained screen use dramatically increases load on the cervical spine — leading to muscle imbalances, joint degeneration, headaches, and nerve symptoms that worsen without correction.
Cervical and thoracic adjustments restore the natural cervical curve. Postural rehabilitation targets the deep neck flexors and thoracic extensors. Take-home protocols and ergonomic guidance prevent regression — this is a corrective program, not a temporary fix.
Myofascial trigger points are hyperirritable spots in taut muscle bands that cause local and referred pain patterns — often mimicking other conditions. They develop from injury, repetitive strain, postural dysfunction, or sustained stress.
Dr. Walia specializes in trigger point therapy — precise ischemic compression and release to deactivate trigger points, combined with myofascial release and targeted stretching. Most patients feel immediate and significant pain reduction within the same visit.
Upper extremity pain frequently originates from the cervical spine or thoracic outlet — not the local joint. Rotator cuff dysfunction, tennis elbow, carpal tunnel syndrome, and repetitive strain all have musculoskeletal roots that respond well to conservative care.
Local joint mobilization combined with cervical and thoracic adjustments addresses both regional and spinal contributors. Graston and myofascial release target tendon and fascial adhesions. Rehabilitation restores shoulder mechanics and functional strength.
Lower extremity pain frequently has a spinal or pelvic origin. Hip dysfunction, IT band syndrome, patellofemoral pain, plantar fasciitis, and ankle instability all involve biomechanical chain problems that start above the symptomatic joint.
Pelvic and lumbar adjustments correct mechanical imbalances that overload lower extremity joints. Local joint mobilization, Graston, and trigger point work address tissue at the site of pain. Corrective exercise and movement analysis complete a full lower extremity program.
Scoliosis is an abnormal lateral curvature of the spine that can be structural or functional. Symptoms include visible asymmetry, back pain, limited mobility, and in advanced cases, breathing difficulty.
Chiropractic care reduces associated pain and improves range of motion. In functional cases, addressing the root cause can reduce the curvature. Adjustments combined with targeted rehabilitative exercise help manage the condition and may slow progression.

"I had approached Dr. Amandeep Walia through one of his long-time patients. He reviewed my recent X-rays and MRI and recommended a course of treatment which was spot on. He was kind enough to speak with my current chiropractor out of state — and my chiropractor shared how impressed he was with Dr. Walia's expertise. Thank you for your professionalism and your time."
"Dr. A was very thorough and took the time to properly assess what was going on. He did muscle manipulation that immediately helped relieve my discomfort, and I felt noticeably better afterward. Super knowledgeable, professional, and genuinely cares about helping his patients. Highly recommend."
"I've had headaches and migraines daily for about 8 years — taking pain pills almost daily just to get through work. I had seen multiple chiropractors, neurologists, PCPs, and physical therapists with no long-term results. Only after a few months with Dr. Amandeep Singh Walia, my migraines have stopped, headaches reduced to 1 per week, my posture improved, and my quality of life improved tremendously. For the first time in almost a decade, I can imagine a pain-free day. They have allowed me to reclaim a big part of my life."
"Dr. Walia is fantastic. He is patient, kind, explains everything well, and is knowledgeable. He's not your average Chiro — with his medical school background. He is helping me with my posture, neck and back issues, and put a thorough plan together after reviewing my MRI scans. He also works on my fibromyalgia issues and I've noticed a difference since around my 6th treatment. I'm even sleeping again after years. My posture is getting better by the week. Highly recommend."
"I have been suffering from headaches and migraines for about 35 years and had minimal success with past chiropractors and doctors. Due to previous car accidents, I suspected a spinal issue. I thought a combination of chiro and massage could lead to results — and I found everything at HeadacheAway. This team of a Neurologist, Chiropractor, and Massage is making a huge difference. I have not had a debilitating migraine or headache in 3 months. In the past, I had 3-5 a week. They all listen, inform, and respond like I am the only patient in the world. I can't be more grateful for finding this 'Dream Team.'"
"I have been a patient of Dr. H. Walia and Dr. A. Walia for over 3 years. Prior to working with them, I had been treated for 25+ years for chronic migraine headaches and only saw minor reductions in my pain level. In the 3 years since I began treatment, my migraine headaches have almost completely disappeared. Their care has allowed me to have a vastly improved quality of life, with little or no pain from the headaches and muscle tension I had endured most of my life."
"The Walia team is a perfect balance between professionalism and compassionate care. I had 4 dislocated ribs from an auto accident — on the second visit my ribs were back in place and the pain was gone. Their holistic approach makes you feel like you're being treated by kind family members. I highly recommend Dr. Walia."
"Dr. Walia is great. He has been able to help me while others could not. He is very aware of patient feelings, always checking to make sure all is well. He takes time to explain the plan and recaps what he's done at the end of every visit. You never feel like an imposition when you are in his care."
"Dr. Walia listened and asked questions to fully understand what my son was experiencing. He was clear in his communication, involved me in all aspects of the plan, and gave us exercises to do at home. Very knowledgeable about what was needed to correct the problem."
"Dr. A is great — he took the time to listen to my concerns, explained why I was having discomfort, did muscle work and an adjustment. I came in with pain and walked out with no pain."
"Very comprehensive exam — covers things we didn't even think to ask about but were definitely part of the problem. Great with patients of all ages and knows how to cater to each person individually. Highly recommend. Staff is excellent."
"This practice provides excellent care specific to the needs of each patient. The doctors and staff are well trained, caring, and very good at their occupation. It is always a pleasant experience being treated here."
